Took the elder daughter up
to Newcastle Airport to embark on her mammoth return journey to Mongolia via
London and Moscow, not arriving in Ulaanbaatar until Thursday morning; our
drive back home was considerably shorter via the A68 (having sworn off – and at
– the road-works on the A1 western bypass at Gateshead) even taking into account a stop at the
Brockbushes Farm Shop (at the A68/A69 roundabout) where we decided against
picking our own gooseberries but enjoyed a Panini and coffee.
